Wow!

Sorry I’ve not been around much recently, the pressure of tying up my old job and starting the new has taken much of my time, but I have a long weekend to look forward to, where I plan to catch up with all the posts I’ve missed. Well, that and do another sleepover in the British Museum (I’ve bought a blow up airbed, this seems to be becoming a habit).

Anyway, the advantage of the new job (apart from its newness, which is exciting) is that I get to work part-time. The disadvantage is that I am working in the centre of Cambridge which means much more driving – though I will get to work from home a little bit too.

Anyhow, that’s not the WOW! I now work new hours and drive home at a new time and it means that I am getting to see the amazing sunsets that we are having right now. Autumn is here and it’s my favourite time of year. The one I saw today reminded me to post this.

My husband took this photo a few days ago of the sunset over the supermarket carpark behind our house. Who says car parks in the centre of town aren’t beautiful?

that is so gorgeous!!!! Wow, is right!!

  2. Seriously, wow! First, because it’s gorgeous and second because I don’t think I saw the sun all day! (Work emergency, went 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) I’m so glad the new job has these perks! Let me know if you’re bored on the long weekend and want a little side trip to Aldeburgh (can’t promise any sunsets though).

I’d love to but have marked out this weekend for Joe (British Museum again – want to go?). Every weekend is free after that as I no longer work weekends. Yay!

That’s the theory anyway. Shall we go for a drink and make plans?

Dare I saw it… But WOW! Sometimes the light is changed and accentuates the magnificence of a sunset. Gorgeous!

  4. That is a beautiful sight, thanks for sharing!

I’m still with the library service, but no longer on the ‘front line’. I’m a volunteer co-ordinator (part time, whoopee, lots of time in my shed I hope).

  7. Love the sunset. Good luck with the new job!
