Woburn Safari Park

I love zoos but hate the little cages, which is why I love visiting Woburn Safari Park.

Hubby’s not too keen, having taken me loads of times when we first met (and he was willing to put himself out more!), but knowing how much I love it and how long it is since we’ve been he dragged himself out and even admitted to enjoying himself.

The thing I like about it is that the animals have plenty of room to wander and run, whilst we move around in our little cages and if they want to take a look at us, they can.

Well, we proved very interesting this time and lots of animals came right up close to have a gander and we got some reasonable (and some quite good) photos I thought I’d like to share with you. They were taken by a range of family members who all think their photo is the best, so if you have a favourite please comment. You’ll make someone very happy.

In some cases (eg. the birds) we were so busy being ambushed by the animals that we forgot the camera and missed some amazing snaps. 😦 but it was such a good day.

There are some amazing photos here. Looks like it would have been a great day. If the weather is good I’m heading out to a open zoo this weekend.

Great, I hope the weather holds for you.

My husband took my favourite photo, of the hippo.

So do I. Once I decide on something it just has to happen. There are a few favourites. The single pics of the zebra, giraffe and hippo. One of my boys liked the hippo taking to the other (sorry, can’t actually see the post so not sure ) animal. Very cute.

My husband took all those. I guess he won!

The ostrich and the hippo were hilarious. The ostrich did this strange dance around him, we actually videoed it but you can’t see the hippo. It looks like a mating dance. The hippo looked bored.

I hope you have a great time.
