Back to the drawing board

It’s my daughters birthday next month and I was to get her a nice piece of jewellery. I saw just the thing and tried to buy it but the artist is sick, so no joy. I decided to make my poor man’s interpretation of the piece and spent several hours yesterday toiling and whilst it isn’t a patch on the expensive item I’m very happy. My husband was non committal and son bemused but I like it! I’ll post a picture when her birthday is done.

I woke up this morning and instantly remembered my daughter telling me,  (with some strength) that she doesn’t like clay jewellery. I shall keep this piece – which makes me happy because I do really like it- and start again.

Glad I didn’t spend all that money now.

  1. Everything happens for a reason. By the way where is the picture if it is no longer for her birthday?

The next project is (hopefully) going to be along similar lines – but not clay! Mind you, I’m not sure how I’m going to achieve that now I’ve had time to think about it.
